Terms

Terms of sale

These apply when you buy from the korvitsakoda.ee online shop. The Estonian version prevails in case of doubt.

1. Seller

The seller is not registered for VAT. No VAT is added to the prices.

2. Lanterns and prices

All lanterns are handmade one-of-a-kind pieces of fabric and concrete. The photos, measurements and weight on a product page describe that particular lantern. Pores, traces of fabric, uneven cuts and variations in tone are natural to handmade work and are not defects. Colours may look slightly different on screen.

Prices are in euros. The delivery price is added at checkout and shown before you confirm the order.

3. Ordering and reservation

  1. Add a lantern to your basket or press “Buy”, then fill in your details at checkout and choose a delivery method.
  2. When you confirm the order, the lantern is reserved for you for 72 hours. You see the invoice and payment details right away and also get the invoice by e-mail. By confirming the order you undertake to pay the invoice.
  3. The contract of sale is concluded when you receive the order confirmation e-mail and the invoice.
  4. If no payment arrives during the reservation, the order expires and the invoice is cancelled. The lantern goes back on sale and you owe nothing.

4. Payment

Payment is made by invoice and bank transfer to the seller’s account at AS LHV Pank. Please use the reference number on the invoice so the payment is matched to your order. There are no card payments or bank links. You’ll get a confirmation by e-mail when the payment arrives.

5. Delivery

  • To a parcel locker anywhere in Estonia: €3.34–€7.26, depending on the parcel size and carrier.
  • By courier to your door in Estonia: €14.19.
  • Collection: free, place and time agreed with you.

The delivery price follows the largest parcel in the order. The lantern is shipped within 2 working days of your payment arriving. To have it before Halloween, order by 26 October. We’ll e-mail you when it ships, with a tracking code. The risk of accidental loss or damage passes to the buyer when the lantern is handed over to the buyer or a person they designate.

6. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

When buying online, a consumer may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the day they or a person they designate received the lantern. No reason is needed.

  1. Tell us before the deadline. The easiest way is the “Withdraw from the contract” link in the footer of every page and on your order page: fill in the statement and confirm it with “I confirm my withdrawal”. An acknowledgement with the statement, the date and the time arrives in your inbox straight away. You can equally e-mail [email protected] with the invoice number and a clear statement that you withdraw from the contract.
  2. Send or bring the lantern back within 14 days of notifying us.
  3. We refund all payments received, including the original standard delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving your notice. We may wait until the lantern has reached us or you have shown proof of sending it back.
  4. The buyer pays the direct cost of returning the lantern. Concrete is heavy and fragile: pack the lantern carefully so it doesn’t break on the way.
  5. The buyer is liable for any loss in value caused by handling the lantern beyond what is needed to establish its nature and characteristics.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to companies or to purchases made in person.

7. Defects and claims

A consumer may make a claim about a lantern that does not conform to the contract within two years of receiving it. Please tell us within a reasonable time after noticing the defect, preferably within two months.

If a lantern arrives damaged, take photos of the packaging and the lantern right away and write to us. Where possible we offer a similar lantern or a refund. As every lantern is one of a kind, it can’t be replaced with an identical one.

8. Disputes

We aim to settle disagreements by negotiation. If we can’t agree, a consumer may turn to the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (ttja.ee) or to a court.

9. Personal data

How we process the data needed to fulfil your order is described in the privacy notice.
